Index Shaft Holder


  Tools Needed : Phillips Head Screwdriver

  1. Remove the stock shaft holder that was installed on your jig by removing the screw (fig 1 "D") with a phillips head screwdriver. Pull the stock shaft holder from the jig body (fig 1 "A").
  2. Place the Index Shaft Holder (rear plate Fig 1 "B") on the front of your jig base. The smooth part of the the Index Shaft holder (rear plate Fig 1 "B") should be against the front of the jig base, around the locating peg.
  3. Examine the Index Shaft Holder (front plate Fig 1 "C") , notice the flat on the back of this plat (Fig 1 "F") this flat should line up with the flat on the front of your jig base (Fig 1 "E"). Try to line these up as close as possible with your eye.
  4. Push the Index Shaft Holder (front plate Fig 1 "C") on to the jig base flat (Fig 1 "E") , apply slight pressure while turning slightly left and right until you fell the flats line up.
  5. Replace the front screw (Fig 1 "D") with your screwdriver until the screw is snug.
  6. The shaft holder should turn and stop on the next size if everything was done properly.
